About this Course:
The Essential Grant Skills course provides managers, directors, and emerging leaders new to grant writing the opportunity to learn and practice skills in developing successful grant proposals to obtain external funding. This program will teach you what grants are and how they differ from other funding sources, the sources of grants, how to find grants, writing grants and proposal components, and budgeting. You will leave the program with the knowledge and skills to get started on the grant writing process.

Essential Grant Writing Skills is offered in the following two formats:
In-person schedule
The in-person class is three days in length.
- Day 1: 9:00 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Day 2: 9:00 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Day 3: 9:00 a.m.–5 p.m.
Virtual (live) schedule
The live, virtual class will be held over four sessions from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. hosted using the Zoom platform.
