About Gifty 

Gifty is an experienced development professional with 15 years of experience managing environmental conservation programs. Gifty excels at all aspects of project management throughout the program life cycle, having led several project teams on a range of development issues, including wildlife, forest, water, and energy conservation.

Her professional experience in environmental conservation began in 2010 when she served as the Senior Program Officer at Conservation International, where she managed a program focused on climate change, environmental health, and biodiversity conservation. Gifty joined CEND in 2020, and currently, as a consultant, she leads the organization’s work on environmental conservation.

She is committed to making environmentalism inclusive and irresistible for all with a background in civil rights law, environmental racism analysis, and community engagement. As a consultant, Gifty shares her expertise on environmental justice policy, media, and storytelling at institutions across Africa. With a BA in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and a Master’s in Environmental Law and Policy, Gifty is well-equipped to drive change and infuse justice into any program she supports.
